2024 Bishop's Latin School Spirit Award Winners














Jack Legler' 70 is being honored for his outstanding work as a member of the B.L.S. Executive Board as well as for his role in coordinating our Alumni Spirit Awards. Jack has also been a lifelong member in Diocesan Choirs in both Pittsburgh and Arlington, Virginia while serving as Technical Director of the American Truckers Association. A generous contributor to many B.L.S. causes, the Executive Board is most proud of his many accomplishments.


Very Rev. Philip Farrell '71  VE, MA, MDiv, Regional Vicar, North Vicariate is being honored for his lifetime body of work (see below) as a priest and pastor in the Diocese of Pittsburgh. A member of the esteemed B.L.S. Class of '71, Father Phil Farrell is yet another example of the outstanding graduates who were routinely churned-out by the Jesuit instructors at the Bishop's Latin School.



Beth & Mark Sieg are being honored for their many years of work with the St Anthony's School. Mark is currently the Executive Director & C.E.O. Meanwhile, his wife, Beth, has been a teacher there since 1986.Both were instrumental in changing St. Anthony's from being a segregated education for students with special needs, to an inclusive program that is operational in four elementary schools, three secondary and one post secondary locations.


Our Executive Board takes great pride in recognizing the lifetime's achievements of  our winners and it is our hope that you will be present on August 25th to help them share in their big day!
