John Cardinal Wright Awards Dinner
April 30, 2006

The Fifth Annual John Cardinal Wright Vocations Mass was held at St. Mary of the Mount Church on Sunday April 30, 2006, at 3:300 pm.  The Cardinal Wright Awards Dinner followed the Mass at Louis Tambellini's Restaurant on Rt 51 South.


The Mass and Dinner were huge sucesses with over 120 people attending.

 
The Happy Hour at Tambellini's was tremendous with cocktails and hor's douvres and the dinner surpassed last years.

The Silent Auction by Steel City Auctions raised nearly $500 for the Latin School Alumni Association to be used to defray the cost of high school for the students in the High School Affiliate Program in the Diocese of Pittsburgh.

Fr. Timothy Brown, SJ,  Mr. Joseph Palmisano, Mr. Patrick Franc, Fr. Walter Buckius, SJ, Dr. Albert (Skip) Shannon.
Missing - Rev. Aaron Kriss who accepted for his brother Rev. David Kriss, '71 (RIP)

Fr. Tim Brown, SJ accepts his award on behalf of the Society of Jesus.
Mr. Pat Franc, '73, accepts his awrds, and announces the creation of the Albert Franc Scholarship, in honor of his father.

Rev. Aaron Kriss, accepts the award for his brother, Rev. David Kriss, 71. Fr. Dave passed away in 2004, celebrating his 25th anniversary of the priesthood.

Mr. Joseph Palmisano, who taught English and French at the Latin School, accepts his award. Joe is still very active with the Sera club, another organization, charged with fostering vocations.
Rev. Walter Buckius, SJ accepts his award. Fr. Buckius was the final Headmaster of the Latin School.
Dr. Albert (Skip) Shannon accepts his John Cardinal Wright Award.
